3 Major U.S. Cities Launching Nonstop Flights To Cabo In 2026

Cabo may be one of Mexico’s most connected cities, but that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s not room for growth.

In fact, not every major U.S. city currently offers a direct flight to Cabo as hard as that may be to believe…

With Baja’s world-famous paradise continuing to break tourism records year after year despite notoriously high prices, it’s not exactly a risk for airlines to gamble on launching more routes.

We at Travel Off Path venture down to Cabo any chance we get. It’s one of few globally renowned vacation spots that truly lives up to the hype and looks just like its sun-kissed postcards.

Our pals and fellow experts at the Cabo Sun just revealed a trio of lucky cities will welcome new flights to Baja’s southernmost tip at the turn of the calendar.

Yeehaw! Austin Receives New Delta Flight To Los Cabos

Austin has become one of the trendiest cities in America despite losing some of its ‘weirdness’ in favor of mass expansion.

But the weirdest part of all is ATX didn’t have a flight to Cabo even just a few years back when American said, “hold my cerveza”.

With that flight being a success, Austinites needed more seats and stowaways to store their obligatory neon get-up for the vacation of a lifetime south of the border.

Delta has since picked up the slack by launching a new Austin (AUS) – Los Cabos (SJD) flight taking off December 20th and rolls its seasonal availability into 2026.

Even though Austin’s winters are pretty mild, there’s never a bad time for sun, sand, and margaritas at a posh resort — especially if you can’t enjoy Lady Bird Lake like you used to with an alleged serial killer on the loose! 😱

And let’s be real — Austin may be the undisputed king of craft tacos, but there’s nothing like a cold Mexican beer, authentic sizzling taco, and endless views of the blue sea.

Indy Welcomes First-Ever Flight To Cabo In 2026

Is there any city in America more on the up and up than Indianapolis?

Their airport has been on a tear welcoming new international flights to some truly amazing destinations spots — Cabo being at the top.

No longer do Hoosiers have to backtrack in nearby Chicago, risk long lines for a Whataburger run at DFW, or deal with the hassle of layovers at any other connecting airport.

Southwest saw potential in this city as their next Cabo journey, largely driven by Indy’s record-breaking tourism.

It could be that locals now want to escape the tourist crowds of their own popular city, or suddenly Indy has become such a hotspot that more airlines are taking notice.

Either way, Southwest will soon launch a new flight from Indianapolis (IND) to Los Cabos (SJD) for Saturday-only spring break flights running from March 5 – April 6, 2026.

Though, as blistering cold as Indy’s winters are, our Spidey-Senses tell us this limited offering could be extended later in the year…

Sin City Swaps Desert Heat For Desert Luxury

Opting to vacation from one desert to another may not make sense on paper, until you realize how many differences there are.

First off, have you tried walking down The Strip in the middle of summer? Yeah, good luck…

You’ll quickly see how Vegas can charge so much for an ice-cold (and watered down) cocktail — to cool down!

Of course, Las Vegas has it’s own array of ritzy stays, but it doesn’t hold a candle to Cabo, one of the premiere luxury destinations in the world given its prime real estate along Blue Flag-certified shores and world-class all-inclusive resorts.

Southwest is set to launch Sin City’s newest flight to Mexico from Las Vegas (LAS) to Los Cabos (SJD).

According to the Cabo Sun, scheduled to start June 4, 2026, it’s the perfect time to swap desert heat for Baja’s gorgeous oasis, where you can actually walk around downtown and not melt into the pavement.

Prices may be high here too, but there’s a reason Vegas’s visitor numbers are tumbling and Cabo continues to skyrocket.
